Shapereader at the University of Washington

Seattle Public Library

I am very excited to be one of the international guests of the amazing Short Run Comics Festival. Among a very fine selection of international guests, I will introduce my conceptual comics and discuss some of my books with the audience at the Seattle Public Library. 2nd November 2016, Seattle.

Shapereader in MUSAC

A Shapereader exhibition opens at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Castilla and Leon (MUSAC). Spain, 17 September – 27 November 2016.

Shapereader workshop in MUSAC

A Shapereader workshop was organized in the MUSAC with collaboration of the ONCE. During the two-day workshop, the group collectively created a wall tactile narrative that was integrated in the Shapereader exhibition.

Print Screen Festival

The Print Screen Festival draws together artists, technologists and digital culture researchers for four days of programming at the Holon Cinematheque in Holon, Israel. It includes a wide variety of films, contextual programming, interactive presentations, master classes with international artists, workshops, lectures and panel discussions. I presented in a show on haikus curated by Eran Hadas, my video work Honey, I shrunk the playlist.

Poetics of the Algorithm

The group ACME organized in the University of Liège the Symposium entitled Poetics of the Algorithm:Narrative, the Digital, and ‘Unidentified’ Media. Among a three-day conference involving numerous panelists and researchers from different institutions and universities, I introduced the project of tactile literacy Shapereader. Thank you Aarnoud Rommens, Bjorn Olav-Dozo and Benoit Crucifix for the invitation.

Mash-up in Rennes

I have the pleasure to contribute to the first Biennale des écritures de Rennes with an exhibition of a yet unpublished project and the limited edition of two silkscreens from the pages of the upcoming book, thanks to Morvandiau, Laurence Coste from Spéléographies and Julian Escudé for the great scenography and the production.

The Structure of Revenge

I contributed to this symposium, part of a series of international meetings based on Raymond Williams’ classic essay on materiality and feeling. It was curated by Aristide Antonas, Adam Kaasa, Yoke-Sum Wong, Christos Carras and was organized in Athens by the Onassis Cultural Center.

Shapereader in Tel Aviv

A Shapereader workshop funded by Asylum Arts was organized in the Binyamin Gallery, an artist-run space in Tel Aviv. With the help of Eran Hadas, Keren Katz but also Savyon Fishlovitch, Navah Uzan and Uri Noam from the gallery, we proposed to the participants to work on the subject of tactility in the Hagadah tradition.
